Q.1 Is access to the database really free, & if it's so good then why is it free?
Yes, full access to the Aussie Wholesale Suppliers database is completely free. There may be options for a premium, paid membership level added in the future, but regular access (that you have now, or will once you've signed up) is free.
Up until recently, the Aussie Wholesale Suppliers database operated as a paid membership site for which people paid $47 to access - all the testimonials here are from people who paid for access.
I decided to make it free as I no longer had the time to offer the wholesaler sourcing service that went with the paid membership. Without this service - where I would attempt to locate certain wholesalers for people that weren't already in the database - I did not feel it was right to continue charging for access. Though 90% of customers found the suppliers they needed without needing my help, there would still be the 10% that had effectively just wasted their money.
Q.2 Do I need an ABN (Australian Business Number) to buy from these wholesalers?
If you are an Australian resident you will need an ABN to purchase from nearly all genuine Australian wholesalers, not just those on the list - overseas purchasers don't require one. You will find that 99% of genuine Australian wholesalers will require you to have an ABN, & possibly a registered business name. An ABN can be obtained for free from the Australian Taxation Office.
Q.3 I'm looking for some wholesalers in Melbourne, do you have any there?
Yes, but it actually doesn't matter how far the wholesaler is located from your business. A large percentage of a wholesaler's business comes from interstate. Wholesalers are different from retailers, in that you don't usually go to their business to place an order, rather place it by phone, fax, or email - they will send you a catalogue of their products by snail mail or email. Freight costs within Australia are relatively cheap, so ultimately, their distance from you makes little difference.
Q.4 Will the wholesalers sell overseas to a country other than Australia?
Yes, most of the Australian wholesalers welcome overseas orders. It's good for their business to gain international customers, as it gives their product more exposure & opens up many more potential markets.
Q.5 I sent you an email 2 days ago & you haven't got back to me!
We endeavour to answer all emails are within 24 hours (only exception being on weekends), however there may be busy times when we're not able to reply for up to 48 hours. If you haven't heard back from someone within that time, it may be due to the fact that you sent the email to the wrong address (all emails need to be sent to rachel@aussiewholesalesuppliers.com ); or my reply may be sitting in your junk/spam mail folder (some email providers like Hotmail, AOL, Yahoo etc. may treat it as spam).
